These packs are available free to Carers. They contain information about North Staffs Carers, together with a form to enable you to request more information about our services, or the services provided by other organisations. A Carers' Emergency Card is included in the pack. This card is for you to carry in your wallet or purse. You need to fill in the details of who you are caring for and who to contact in case of emergency. If you are involved in an accident, or taken ill, this will alert people to the fact that there is someone at home depending on you. Mental Health Carers Pack This pack contains up to date information about: caring for someone with mental health needs, what to do in a crisis, what services are provided, how to contact professionals, what benefits are available and much more. Carers who are looking after someone of working age, on Enhanced Care Co-ordination, living in Staffordshire, should have automatically received their copy of the pack. If not, you can contact your local Care Co-ordination Team on 01782 441627, 01785 257888 or 01538 414555. Carers looking after someone of working age, on Standard Care Co-ordination, can obtain a free copy from Making Space on 01785 228622. (Making Space can also supply the pack on CD, or via e.mail)
