CARERS ART CLUB An Art Club has now been set up on a Monday afternoon 1.00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m. as a direct result of a successful Art for Relaxation Course. All are welcome no art skills are required just turn up and enjoy.
An Art Club will also be held at the Brandon Centre at Cheadle Hospital possibly every second Monday of the month from 10.00 a.m. until 12 noon.

Complementary Therapy Voucher System A reminder to Carers in the Newcastle and Moorlands areas that you can access a course of Complementary Therapies via our voucher system, to have Reflexology, Reiki, Aromatherapy Massage, Indian Head Massage, Hopi Ear Candling and also Body Detox Therapy. Don't be shy, please take the opportunity to experience these wonderful sessions.
Those Carers located in Staffs Moorlands can also access The Retreat Day Spa in Leek as an alternative to travelling to our Head Office in Burslem.
Project Outline The main aim of the Carers’ Emotional Well-being Project is to assist Carers in achieving positive emotional well-being. The Project will be working with Carers from the Newcastle & Moorlands area, although due to links with the Imaginative Breaks Project we feel we have something to suit everyone’s needs, throughout North Staffordshire.

Our emotional well-being is always changing. It can be affected by all sorts of things, including our lifestyle, past experiences, our attitudes, our value & belief systems, current circumstances, expectations and genetic factors, to name a few.
As a Carer your lifestyle may be frequently restricted and many Carers do become mentally and physically exhausted by their caring role. This may cause your health to break down, which is why it is important to look after yourself.

The Rainbow Room A need had been identified for a quiet space for Carers within the Head Office. A room has been prepared to offer the following facilities to Carers:
- Complementary Therapies including Indian Head Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Reiki.
- A quiet space for reflection.
- Selection of self-help books for short-term loan.
- Private discussion space.
