Yesterday, the Young Carers aged 11+ attended the summer trip to Drayton Manor this year. Before we got on the coach we noticed friendship groups already starting to form meaning that all the young carers had someone to go around the theme park with. We arrived and everyone seemed excited.
The weather wasn’t particularly brilliant however this did reflect on the queue times meaning the rides were walk on and the Young Carers managed to get on everything more than once.
As we met up with the Young Carers at the end of the day we were greeted with exhausted but happy faces that were glad they were able to take a break from their caring role for an adrenaline filled day.
Even Diane made friends with a Gibbon and here she is with an Orangutan.
