National Forest Adventure Farm - Burton Upon Trent.

On Tuesday 8th August we took Young Carers aged 8-11 years to the National Forest Adventure Farm in Burton upon Trent.

Copeland Coach Tours arrived at the Carers Centre driven by Scott, driver Scott was so friendly and the Youngest of our Carers were put at ease straight away. Scott assisted us before the journey ensuring everyone was ready for the journey ahead and again upon our return.

The National Forest Adventure Farm provided exciting indoor fun, outdoor adventure and farm animals. There were formula 1 pedal go-carts, sand pit, giant jumping pillows, pirate ship, huge JCB inflatable bouncy slide, mini assault course and Farmyard Crazy Golf. Young carers enjoyed tractor and trailer rides which took them around the animal paddocks on a farm yard safari. There also was a barrel racing where Young Carers were pulled around a track by a tractor taking them over bumpy terrains and willing the driver to take them faster.

Quote from Young Carers (“Barrel Racing was so much fun”)

Young carers were also able to get up close to the range of animals such as pigs, sheep, cows, Shetland and ponies, donkeys, quails, chickens, Highland cattle and goats and there were also ‘Everyone showing their Love for Young Carers’
