Rosina, our School Liaison Worker, delivered a Young Carer Awareness assembly to 86
year 4,5 & 6 children at the school, plus members of the teaching staff.
A number of families were given Information about the Musketeer project for Young Carers. Young Carers at the School are receiving Support from ourselves.
Age-appropriate questionnaires were left with school for the children to complete and these were later collected and the responses analysed. A report was complied for the school which showed:
- The total numbers of Young Carers identified
-How many of those Young Carers wanted school to be made of awareness of their caring role.
-An anonymous profile of each Young Carer.
The school was also sent a Young Carer Awareness Training Certificate.
