Partnership Working

 

At North Staffs Carers we believe in working in partnership with other organisations

to ensure Carers receive the best support, advice and information regarding their caring roles.

Beswick’s Solicitors offer Carers a Legal Advice Clinic monthly in the Carers Centre which is appointment only and offers Carers chance to receive accurate advice regarding any legal matter which maybe arising for them.

Brain Tumour Support offers a support group for those living with and affected by a brain tumour. They meet in the Carers Centre monthly on a Thursday afternoon.

MacMillan Support and NSC offer a Cancer support group 'New Horizon's' which meets in the Carers Centre fortnightly on a Tuesday afternoon and is for anyone living with and affected by Cancer.

Face2face and Lifeworks Parent Carer Group meet in the Carers Centre on a monthly basis on a Tuesday Morning.

We are pleased to have been support this year by Home Instead working together to provide Carers with a Practical Elements in Caring Course and working together to provide Carers with this year's Christmas Parties.  We continue to look at ways in which we can continue to work in Partnership.  Thank you Home Instead.

 

We have continued to work with Changes throughout the year offering Carers Health and Wellbeing Courses and providing them with information and support around looking after themselves, we aim to hold the next course in Autumn look out for dates on the What's On.

We are absolutely thrilled to have continued support for our Young Carers from ‪RBS‬ who help provide materials and crafts for our Groups and Activities as well as volunteering their time to help facilitate these groups and trips.

We have continued to work with the Beth Johnson Foundation this year who provide Advocacy services for Dementia Carers and help facilitate our Cancer Support Groups.
