Carer Awareness

Our team works in Partnership with the following:

Health and Social Care Professionals, Social Prescribers, Carers, Carer Groups and other Organisations to help improve and expand awareness, knowledge and understanding of services for Carers, and to promote their interests.

We ensure that Carers can easily access information about Support that is available both locally and nationally. We not only focus on GP Surgeries, Health Centres, Social Care Area Offices, Mental Health Resource Centres and all Secondary Care Settings but also work with allied agencies.

An important part of the teams work is ensuring that Health and Social Care Professionals are able to help and support Carers by referring into the North Staffs Carers.

The team offers Carer Awareness Training to all professionals, whose roles brings them into contact with Carers, giving them the knowledge and understanding of Carers issues.

Talks and presentations are delivered to a variety of professionals and organisations throughout North Staffordshire. These talks and presentations help to improve Carer Awareness and highlight the various issues that Carers face in their day-to-day lives. They are also a great way to find out about the many Services and Support that are available through North Staffs Carers.
